STATEMENT OF QUALITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

As the leading banana exporter in Jamaica, it is the policy of Jamaica Producers Group to meet and maintain standards of quality and excellence in the management of our operations and our environment.

In the maintenance of world-class management systems we seek to continuously improve our processes and performance to consistently meet and exceed the expectations of our customers.

The protection of our environment is achieved through a rigorous and meticulous programme of environmental management.  Elements include:

• Rehabilitation of land through an intensive tree planting programme.
• Protection of our waterways through responsible use and disposal of chemicals .
• Erosion control.
• Recycling harmful waste.
• Solid waste disposal.

The criteria applied to the measurement of results and the management system are subject to review and are revised when necessary to meet changes in the requirements of the company, the customer and environmental legislation and regulations.
